Uche Sparks Comfortable Palace Win at Shelbourne.

Despite entering their first-ever European campaign, Crystal Palace are learning at a rapid pace. Without star figures like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a commanding win that virtually secures them a place in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.

A further three points in their next match against Finnish KuPS should be sufficient to seal straight passage to the knockout stages, particularly following a previous stumble against Strasbourg.

Squad Members Seize the Moment

This occasion provided a chance for several Palace's fringe players to shine. Christantus Uche, in only his second beginning since arriving on loan from Getafe, notched the account with a well-taken finish. Striker Eddie Nketiah added a second, scoring for the second game in match.

Following the break, manager Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to rest several players like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse came close to scoring with his first touch, only to see his effort blocked.

The youngster was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one attempt strike off each posts before being clasped on the line. Uche then missed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still scope for development in his game.

A solitary concern for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This paved the way for 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to earn his senior debut, capping an otherwise perfect night for the traveling side.
